The Swiss Polar Day is the annual gathering of the Swiss polar and high-altitude science community and includes national and international keynotes, networking opportunities and updates on recent developments in polar and high-altitude research.

Highlights

• Team work at world’s end: What makes an effective polar team? by Jan Schmutz, University of Zurich
• How snow influences sea ice by Ruzica Dadic, WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF
• Presentation of international collaboration opportunities with Japan and Canada

The day also includes a presentation of the Alpole building, a visit of various labs, a lunch and a networking drink.
